Carnival Cruise Line has alerted guests booked on Carnival Venezia‘s February 21, 2027 sailing that they have a slight itinerary change to be aware of, though no ports are being cancelled.

The 14-night cruise is a Southern Caribbean voyage from Port Canaveral, with visits to eight amazing ports of call. Two of those ports are shifting their visit dates and times, but Carnival Venezia will still be at the outstanding destinations.

“We have made a slight adjustment to your itinerary,” the email notification confirmed. “The days visiting Antigua and St. Kitts have changed with adjusted port times.”

Originally, Carnival Venezia was to have enjoyed the visit to Antigua on Wednesday, February 24, 2027, while the visit to St. Kitts was to have a week later been near the end of the voyage on Wednesday, March 3. Both visits were scheduled from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The updated itinerary dates and times will be published on Carnival Cruise Line’s website as soon as the details are finalized. Given that the sailing is more than a year away, there should be no difficulty for guests to rearrange any plans they might have for either port visit day.

Other ports on the immersive Carnival Journeys itinerary include St. Thomas, Dominica, Grenada, Barbados, St. Maarten, and San Juan.

Carnival Journeys cruises are sailings more than 10 nights. In addition to visiting more unique destinations, these cruises also include more themed programming and activities onboard, including popular “throwback” events to long-since-gone fan favorites and other fun.

Shore Tours to Be Adjusted

Early cruise planners who have already booked pre-paid shore excursions through Carnival don’t need to worry, as the cruise line will automatically adjust those tours for the new port days and times.

Exactly when that adjustment will happen isn’t clear, but the notification assures guests that it will be taken care of “prior to sailing.”

If, however, guests have arranged for independent tours or transportation with local operators, they will want to reach out to those companies to update their plans once the new visit information is confirmed. Again, since this change is made so far in advance of the ship’s departure date, such updates should not be difficult.

As a matter of interest, a similar 14-night itinerary in February 2026 has no changes at this time, nor are any other longer itineraries confirmed to be adjusted.

Why the Change for Carnival Venezia?

Carnival Cruise Line does not offer details about exactly why the two ports of call have been adjusted. Such itinerary tweaks are not uncommon, however, especially well ahead of a sailing when there is plenty of time for plans to change without much difficulty.

It is possible that overall berth availability might be a concern as more ships get scheduled for future visits, or else port maintenance plans might now impact a previously confirmed visit.

For example, if pier maintenance or construction is necessary or if harbor dredging is planned, that would most definitely have an impact on how and when ships could visit. Those plans are up to the port, not the cruise line, and may not be known when a cruise line initially plans and confirms future itineraries.

Carnival Venezia homeports from Port Canaveral in the winter, offering 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean voyages, as well as the occasional longer Southern Caribbean sailing.
