As excitement builds for the August 2025 debut of Royal Caribbean’s newest vessel, the cruise line has revealed more details on what Star of the Seas will be bringing to the high seas.
Royal Caribbean says the 250,800-gross-ton ship’s new lineup will be its “boldest entertainment at sea” yet. It also reveals that its more than 40 dining and drinks venues will offer several new experiences across Star of the Seas’ eight districts.
“At Royal Caribbean, we know that dining and entertainment are at the heart of our guests’ vacation experiences and memories,” said Kara Wallace, chief marketing officer at the cruise line.
She says the new Icon Class ship is redefining what it means to vacation.
“Star pushes the boundaries of flavors and entertainment with a mix of brand-new and fan-favorite offerings, so every kind of vacationer can make memories of a lifetime together and in their own ways,” she added.
For entertainment, Royal Caribbean is introducing “Back to the Future: The Musical.” The at-sea production marks a first for the Broadway show, which recently wrapped up performances in London and New York.
The production features a full orchestra, choreography, and special effects.
Five headline shows will also span “stage, water, ice, and air” aboard Star of the Seas. These will include a high-diving pirate and mermaid-themed stunt show that blends diving, synchronized swimming, and comedic storytelling in the AquaTheater.
The theater will also house “Torque,” a high-adrenaline stunt show featuring slackliners, acrobats, and dancers.
Passengers will also discover an original theatrical performance starring a robot character named KRE-8 in the show “Create.”
On ice, “SOL” centers on the path of the sun in a featured ice-skating performance that includes the largest ice cast in Royal Caribbean’s fleet.
The ship will also introduce guests to its new upscale dinner venue that features live jazz. The Lincoln Park Supper Club is a nod to 1930s Chicago speakeasies and promises to be just as lively,
Additionally, guests can attend comedy shows at The Attic, try karaoke, or visit Casino Royale.
Guests will also find three new food stands at AquaDome Market. These will serve barbecue-style brisket and pulled pork, Southeast Asian dishes such as pad Thai and beef panang, and South American classics like empanadas and arepas.
The Surfside Eatery and Windjammer buffet – said to the be the largest in the fleet – will also be returning.
For more casual or group dining, Celebration Table will provide a setting for events, while returning options like Chops Grille and Izumi Hibachi & Sushi remain onboard.
Star of the Seas will also have more than 20 bars and lounges, including familiar spots like Dueling Piano’s and Lou’s, a New Orleans-themed venue. Bubbles, a champagne bar located in Central Park, adds to the late-night lineup.
